Welcome to Angel Giving's first newsletter!
OK, maybe not exactly the first we have ever written, but definitely the first as Angel Giving! Hopefully, you will have seen that the endowments for nonprofits & fundraising marketplace activities historically carried out through Angel Protocol have been rebranded to Angel Giving, which is a prime example of a use case enabled by Angel Smart Treasuries.
Smart what? Well, that’s the infrastructure that underpins Angel Giving. We are ‘powered’ by Angel Protocol’s Smart Treasuries. And others will also have the ability to create their own smart treasuries to innovate in their financial services world. Impact
It’s great to see nonprofits on the marketplace using the funds for direct impact. Donors always like to see how their funds are being used, and that is maybe doubly so for donors in the blockchain world. Part of the reason they are in that space is because they like the transparency that blockchain provides.
So, If you are an Angel Giving nonprofit reading this, please let us know when you have used funds and what impact they have had – you can add video or images to your social media and send those. Or let us know more for an article. Here are some examples of how nonprofits and the Angel Alliance are doing this.

- Spaced Apes NFT support: These are part of the Angel Alliance and created an NFT mint that will just keep on giving every time an NFT holder buys/sells the NFT! They chose three charities from the Marketplace to benefit, from the Americas, Africa and Asia: Yellow Boat of Hope, Yamba Hearts Uganda and Liberated Youth: (if you aren’t on the marketplace… you have no chance of being found!)

The Angel Giving team never stands still! And we are always looking to improve what we do and how it is done. So either available now or coming soon are the following developments.
- Donation Widget: Use a short piece of code to add as many widgets you want to your website. Fully customisable, you can choose the parameters you need to create a widget for every occasion! Take a look at Foodbank.co’s widget! Although note that very soon, we shall enable fiat donations as well as crypto! Want to try it out? Ask Gabriel (see below)!
- Giftcards: π Coming very soon. Donors will be able to ‘gift’ friends or family a sum of money to donate to any nonprofit on the Marketplace. They can send a message to those they have given donation funds, who can also get tax receipts if needed.
- Religious Organisations, Hospitals and Universities: Angel Giving accounts are now available to these nonprofit organisations. With marketplace pages, and fully searchable alongside the 501c3/charitable nonprofits. Just check the correct box when signing up. π
- fiat!: π²Coming very soon – nonprofits will be able to accept ‘fiat’ currencies such as dollars, pounds, euros, pesos – whatever into their endowment account. So you can promote the benefits of the endowment to more than only crypto donors. π· πΆ π΄
